Katrina Kaif, after much guidance from Salman Khan, is doing phenomnally well for herself. There are talks that after her newfound success, the girl has parted ways with her alleged boyfriend Salman, and is even dating Ranbir Kapoor.

Salman, though happy about Katrina's success, has now taken under his wings Zarine Khan, a Kat lool-alike, whom he launched in the movie 'Veer'. Zarine now has under her belt a success story in the form of 'Character Dheela' - an item number from the film 'Ready' that has hit the charts in a big way! And Zarine Khan feels completly indebted to Sallu for this recognition.and then she is going to appear in partnet 2.

“What’s wrong with Salman helping me? I don’t have a godfather or influential parents in the industry. But I know that Salman will always be there for me. Whenever I’m feeling confused, I know he will bail me out. He is a friend, philosopher, guide and mentor for me,” she says.

Meanwhile, Zarine is spending time preparing for her role in Sajid Khan’s sequel to the superhit Housefull. “Since all the girls in Housefull were ultra-glamorous, I have to live up to those standards. I’m working out twice a day and have altered my diet,” says Zarine, who didn’t feel losing weight was a big deal. “I used to weigh 100 kgs when I was in college,” she laughs.

The actor, who was dubbed a Katrina Kaif-look-alike around the release of Veer (2009), is happy that people are finally noticing her. “Many people wrote me off. People also suggested that ‘I’m heading towards Sneha Ullal’s (Aishwarya Rai look-alike whom Salman launched in Lucky: No Time For Love) territory.’ But I’m happy I lost that tag,” she says.

Zareen khan admits that she was affected by the talks doing the rounds and went into a shell, determined only to come out much stronger.

Today, the actress is happy and contented and the reason is that her new song with actor Salman Khan has become the talk of town.

“'Character dheela hai' was so much fun to shoot for and working with Salman is always something I look forward to. When I was offered the song, I knew it would pick up, but I didn’t know it would go on to become this popular,” she gushes.

Zareen has come a long way from being the shy, demure girl to being a confident and bold one. Ask Zareen if it bothers her that ever since she stepped into the industry, she has been labelled as Salman’s discovery, and she nonchalantly says, “These things don’t upset me anymore. I would be more than happy to be promoted by him. And yes I am very much his discovery and I am glad he is promoting me. What is wrong with that?” She adds, “I have no idea why people always misconstrue Salman and his actions. He is a gem of a person and has a heart of gold. He is always out there to help everyone. Nobody is a saint and everyone has a good side and a bad side to them but with Salman, only the latter gets written about.”

Salman aside, Zareen’s next project is Housefull 2 where she will apparently been seen in a glam avatar. Confirming reports she says, “Yes I will be seen in a different, really glamorous and super fit avatar. I’m hoping I don’t have to wear a bikini. But, if it’s required and is aesthetically shot, then I don’t mind.”

Salman khan is no doubt most well-known for the bad boy image he has perpetuated in his years in Bollywood. Alongside this image is that of a commitment phobic man, or at least, that is what some people claim. Others say that he is one of the most caring and committed people they know.
