Zareen khan admits that she was affected by the talks doing the rounds and went into a shell, determined only to come out much stronger.

Today, the actress is happy and contented and the reason is that her new song with actor Salman Khan has become the talk of town.

“'Character dheela hai' was so much fun to shoot for and working with Salman is always something I look forward to. When I was offered the song, I knew it would pick up, but I didn’t know it would go on to become this popular,” she gushes.

Zareen has come a long way from being the shy, demure girl to being a confident and bold one. Ask Zareen if it bothers her that ever since she stepped into the industry, she has been labelled as Salman’s discovery, and she nonchalantly says, “These things don’t upset me anymore. I would be more than happy to be promoted by him. And yes I am very much his discovery and I am glad he is promoting me. What is wrong with that?” She adds, “I have no idea why people always misconstrue Salman and his actions. He is a gem of a person and has a heart of gold. He is always out there to help everyone. Nobody is a saint and everyone has a good side and a bad side to them but with Salman, only the latter gets written about.”

Salman aside, Zareen’s next project is Housefull 2 where she will apparently been seen in a glam avatar. Confirming reports she says, “Yes I will be seen in a different, really glamorous and super fit avatar. I’m hoping I don’t have to wear a bikini. But, if it’s required and is aesthetically shot, then I don’t mind.”

Just recently, we heard how Sonakshi, green with envy, pushed Zarine at one of Salman's parties.

Zarine, the diplomat, laughed and simply said, "I don't think anyone needs to be insecure as Salman gives attention to everyone.

I won't say that Sonakshi is my best friend. We don't go out for coffee and have long conversations, however, there is no bad blood. When the news came out, Sonakshi smsed me and all is fine."

Although, she is happy with the attention Salman gives her, he has not been the only man to have catapulted Zarine's career. Contrary to popular belief, it was Sajid Naidawala and not Salman who offered her the role in Housefull 2.

All eyes are on the latest entrant Zarine Khan who made her debut with none other than one of superstar Khan’s Salman Khan. So, expectations are bound to come in the picture. However, when asked Zarine was acting always on her mind as a profession, she comes up with an unexpected big “NO’.

Adds Zarine, “I always aspired to be a doctor but financial constraints didn’t let me pursue my dreams. Fate had something else in store for me and I ended up signing small modeling assignments. I didn’t even in my wildest dreams thought I would become an actor. ”

She further adds, “However being an actress, I think now I can accomplish my other pursuit of becoming a doctor as well.”
