Salman Khan starrer "Ready" is about to hit the screens and one of the highlights of the movie is said to be the song "Character Dheela" where he will be seen paying tribute to legendary actors Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and Dharamendra.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film, which stars Asin Thottumkal in the feamle lead, is slated for a June 3 release.

Insiders have been raving about "Character Dheela", which has more than one attraction to look forward to. For starters, the groovy number has a special guest appearance by Zarine Khan, who will be seen shaking a leg with Salman.

Secondly, the song will see Salman and Zarine playing different hit Hindi movie pairs of the past - the actors will be seen playing Shahzada Saleem and Anarkali respectively in one act. In another, Salman and Zarine will pay tribute to the showman Raj Kapoor and actress Nargis and the two will also recreate the magic of Viru and Basanti on screen.

The song has been choreographed by Mudassar Khan, who has previously choreographed Salman in the superhit "Dabangg".

Actor Zarine Khan, who had earlier made news with her Katrina Kaif-like looks in the Salman Khan starrer Veer, says the film will always have a special place in her heart. Although the actor was really disappointed with everything that was written about her after Veer, she is all geared for a new turn in her career. “After Veer I thought I will be accepted but I was just written off everywhere… the look-alike tag, my weight. That was disappointing, but I felt that there is no use being disappointed, it’s better to fight back. And that’s what I tried to do and the Character Dheela song came my way,” she says, adding, “I didn’t get it on the first go and probably it will take me some time, but it’s okay.”

The actor who will also be seen in Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2, says that she is very nervous about the film. “I have to become half my size and I have very little time. But I’m very happy,” she says.

I’m working out twice a day and have altered my diet,” says Zarine, who didn’t feel losing weight was a big deal. “I used to weigh 100 kgs when I was in college,” she laughs.

Zareen khan admits that she was affected by the talks doing the rounds and went into a shell, determined only to come out much stronger.

Today, the actress is happy and contented and the reason is that her new song with actor Salman Khan has become the talk of town.

“'Character dheela hai' was so much fun to shoot for and working with Salman is always something I look forward to. When I was offered the song, I knew it would pick up, but I didn’t know it would go on to become this popular,” she gushes.

Ask Zareen if it bothers her that ever since she stepped into the industry, she has been labelled as Salman’s discovery, and she nonchalantly says, “These things don’t upset me anymore. Salman aside, Zareen’s next project is Housefull 2 where she will apparently been seen in a glam avatar. Confirming reports she says, “Yes I will be seen in a different, really glamorous and super fit avatar. I’m hoping I don’t have to wear a bikini. But, if it’s required and is aesthetically shot, then I don’t mind.”
